On 17th June some members of Carlisle Aquatics
spent Father’s Day at Keswick taking part in the Derwent Water Epic Event. Alan
Young and Ant Rooney took part in the 3.8km swim whilst Stephen
and Vanessa Foster swam in the mile event. For us it was a “home game” swimming
around Derwent Isle where we train on Thursday evenings. The in the water start
was novel and a bit cold on a blustery grey summer’s day but hey, look at the
scenery!
